On April 8th, the Comprehensive Management Department of Chiyu Electric Power Company organized technical training for our personnel on relay protection testers. Through this training, I have deepened my understanding of relay protection testers and gained knowledge of their various functions.
The most important difference between three-phase relay protection tester and six phase relay protection tester is that, in addition to the obvious feature of having more voltage and current paths than three-phase, the six phase relay protection tester is generally not suitable for differential test, switching test, fast switching test, and backup automatic switching test. To conduct these tests, six phase relay protection tester is usually chosen.
Practical training was conducted on-site on the second floor. I have a general understanding of the complexity of the relay protection test. The most commonly used tests on site are voltage test and current test. When it comes to other tests, they are more complex because not only the relay protection tester requires various parameter settings, but also the tested relay protection device has many equipment requirements.
