Test principle and characteristics of insulation oil dielectric strength tester

Insulating oil is widely used in high-voltage electrical equipment such as transformers, oil circuit breakers, oil filled cables, power capacitors, and oil bushings. During operation, the performance of insulating oil will gradually deteriorate due to the effects of oxygen, high temperature, high humidity, sunlight, strong electric fields, and impurities, resulting in its inability to fully exert its insulating function. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly conduct relevant tests on the insulating oil to identify whether its performance has deteriorated.

The quality of insulating oil is closely related to its breakdown voltage. This product is designed based on the requirements of the International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC 156 "Dielectric Strength Testing Method for Insulating Oil" and the national standard GB507-86, fully considering the needs of domestic and foreign users.

  The insulation oil dielectric strength tester adopts advanced technologies such as central processing unit and large-scale integrated circuit to form an automated testing equipment. The operation process is fully automated and can print oil test data through a micro printer configured on the panel. Compared with ordinary instruments and similar instruments, the insulation oil dielectric strength tester has good test stability, high accuracy, and good operability. The equipment has multiple test operation modes in oil testing operation.

The main features of the dielectric strength tester for insulating oil are:

Fully automatic testing method: conduct 6 consecutive tests, automatically calculate the average value, and use a panel printer to

Print out the data and average of 6 experiments.

Single automatic test method: Automatically complete one test and print out the single test data.

The dielectric strength tester for insulating oil uses an AC reversible motor to drive a voltage regulator at a constant speed of 3 kV/s through a step-up transformer. When the oil sample is broken down, the protection system automatically cuts off the step-up power supply circuit, and at the same time, the protection circuit provides an interrupt signal to the system. After the system responds, it executes the oil breakdown test program. Its main internal operations include:

The four digit digital display flashes continuously for 8 times, indicating the breakdown of the tested oil product;

Record experimental data;

Program controlled automatic execution of zero return operation. After returning to zero, identify whether to proceed to the next experimental operation cycle or automatically exit the experimental state based on the number of experiments.
